Since 1998, the professional and caring staff at Personal Alternative® Funeral Services have been carrying out the personal wishes of families in our community - the people who are our neighbors and friends.
Personal Alternative® Funeral Services is proud to support many charitable organizations, we donate all proceeds from the sale of certain items to charity; please review the charities page to help out a local charity.

We are dedicated to sustaining the environment. We have many eco friendly cremation and burial options for our families to choose from and will make a donation to the charity of your choice in your loved one's name when an earth friendly cremation or burial package is selected. If unsure of a charity, we have a list of many deserving local charities. We recycle and use earth friendly practices. We are a member of Puget Sound Energy's Green Power, we secure renewable energy equal to the amount of electricity we use. The Green Power program supports independent renewable energy projects - including wind, solar and biomass - located right here in the Pacific Northwest. When delayed viewing is requested we have greener embalming options, these state of the art embalming chemicals are made without formaldehyde and reduce the impact on the environment. We are also members of agreenerfuneral.org.

This innovation reduces our overhead, keeps our prices affordable and improves the experience of our families. Our website gives our families the option to make all arrangements in the comfort of their homes. When requested one of our experienced and creative arrangers can come to your home to arrange a simple direct cremation, full traditional funeral with burial or one of our personalized Serving You... Personally Life Celebration Events. Families are also invited to make arrangements in our welcoming office.
As a family owned and operated funeral home establishment, we are proud of the quality service, experience and personal attention we devote to every family we are honored to serve. We are owned by Ian & Shannon Murray. Ian came into the funeral profession from his experience as a hospice volunteer and Shannon is a proud alumni of Seattle University.
